GOOD EVENING!
Tonight you will post a blog discussing if you could be any character in your book, who would you be, and why. Make sure your post is at least a paragraph, and that you give your answer some thought. The more details the better. I really want to understand why you would choose to be a certain character.
For example, if I was reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn:
If I could be a character in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,by Mark Twain, I would be Huckleberry because he isn't afraid to take a chance and go on an adventure. For example in the story....
*Remember explain why you would want to be that character. Do you relate to them? Do you share something in common? Do you wish you were more like them?... etc.

I am currently reading, "SALT" by Helen Frost. If I could be any character in the book, I would be James. I would want to be James because he loves adventure, is kind to all, and gets to be best friends with Anikwa. Anikwa and James always go on the most fun adventures, including playing in trees. I love being outdoors, and James gets to do that all day long!

I am currently reading "Mystery Ranch" by Gertrude Chandler Warner. If I could be any character in my book I would be James Henry Alden because he cares about his sister, Jane Alden, so much that he would do anything for her to make her feel better. I would do the same for my family if they were sad.

I am currently reading, "WARRIORS" by Erin Hunter.If I could be any character in this book I would be Graystripe because he has a personality like mine.He always has a positive attitude to go on new adventures. Graystripe is always working hard outdoors as a cat in the forest. I wonder what its like when I leave my cat here and no one is home? Graystripe and me are alike because I love playing outdoors and climbing trees with my friend and Graystripe is a forest cat and enjoys it!

I just finished the book ''Wonder'' by R.J. Palacio. If I could be any character in the book, I would be Summer. I would want to be Summer because she is a true friend to Auggie. She chose to be his friend because she wanted to - not because the principal told her to. Summer proves that she has integrity throughout this book, and that is an important quality to me.

In the book, "My Side of the Mountain" by Jean Craighead George, I would want to be Sam because he is adventurous and courageous. For example, he needs a falcon to hunt. So, he finds a falcon and sees its nest on top of a high cliff. He climbed the cliff and took one of the baby falcons. The mother falcon was swooping down at him, but when she got to her nest she could not count. She saw some of her baby birds there and thought she still had all of her babies. In this story, Sam is like a daredevil. I can relate to him because I have done some daring things. I can't wait to finish this book.

I am reading the book quinny and hopper by Adriana Brad Schanen. if I could be any character in the book I would be Quinny because she got to live in the big city of New York where I would love to live. She also got to move into a very nice and big house in a small town which I would also like. Last,she just moved and she is already becoming really good friends with someone and I would love it if that happened to me. - Blake

ReplyDeleteI am reading the book ''Zane and the Hurricane'' by Rodman Philbrick. if I could be any character in the book, I would be Bandit Zane's dog. I would be Bandit because I would love to be a dog, dogs usually can't understand people so no one would get mad at me for accidentally knocking something over, and I would be small and fast.

ReplyDeleteIf I could be a character in a book,I would want to be Alex in the series "The land of stories".Alex is Adventures,brave,and the future fairy god mother.I relate to her by being adventures,I would also want to be the future fairy god mother.Even though Alex and her brother,Conner,go trough a lot of difficult things,I wish I could be her.When I grow up I wish that I could do a lot of adventures things like she did.

I am currently reading "The People of Sparks" by Jeanne DuPaul, and I'd be Torren. I'd be Torren because he can be disheveled at times, and I can also be unorganized. Torren is also impatient at times, and if I was living his life, I'd also be. Third, he has to have less food each day, and if that was me, I'd also be unhappy. Last, Torren kinda reminds me of myself, and I think that it;s always good to have a connection with characters.

DeleteI am reading the book Whatever After If The Shoe Fits by Sarah Mlynowski. I would want to be the main character Abby because she gets to go on amazing adventures. Also she has a magic mirror in her attic and nobody knows about it accept her and her brother. In this story she messes up Cinderella's story. I can't wait to read more of the story and figure out what happens! -Loretta

ReplyDeleteI just read the book "Percy Jackson, The Sea of Monsters" by Rick Riordan. I would want to be Annabeth, a secondary character, because she is very smart and gets to go on lots of adventures to save the world. Annabeth goes on a quest through the sea of monsters (aka the Bermuda Triangle) with Percy to save her friend Grover and find the Golden Fleece. Camp Half-Blood's magical tree is dying and she needs the fleece to save it. Annabeth is a born leader and a lot of the campers look up to her.

If I could be any character I would be Hansel because he's very smart.He's smart because he thought of a way to escape hades and a plan to kill the dragon. I also would like to be him because he's brave. He's brave because not many people would capture the devil's grandma and pretend to be her. My reasons why I would want to be Hansel is because I am smart and brave like him. -Garth
ReplyDeleteIf I can be any character in " Esperanza Rising" by Pan Muñoz Ryan, I would be Isabel. She knows her camp well and is used to it. Isabel also knows her job well, and has both her parents. She gets to hear Esperanza's rich story's before bed too.

I am reading Caddie Woodlawn by Carol Ryrie Brink. I would want to be Caddie because she loves the outdoors and crazy adventures with her brothers like I do. She is friends with the Indians and I think that she is very lucky to be friends with them. She is brave. When she went ice skating, her brothers dared her to go on black ice and she did. She has a lot of traits I admire.

The book that I am reading now is Dog Diaries Ginger by Kate Klimo.If I had to be any character,I would be Ginger.Ginger is a dog who love's adventures,playing outside and being brave. Ginger is like me I love adventures,playing outside with my friend's and being brave.I want to know how dogs think and be friend's with my dog.Ginger love's to run with dogs, and I love to run with friends and family.

ReplyDeleteWhen I started the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan I knew one thing.I wanted to be Percy.I would want to be Percy because he is very good in battle and with his colleague Annabeth almost always wins every battle.I also like him because even though he has ADHD and dyslexia he works through his problems and does well.That's just about all Waylon out!

ReplyDeleteI am currently reading the book "The Bad Beginning" by Lemony Snicket. If I could pick any character, I would be Violet. I would be Violet because Count Olaf is finally being nice to her from all of the harsh things that he did to her and her siblings. Violet is also very creative and likes to invent things.

If I could be any character in any book I would be Sam from "My side of the mountian" by Jean Craighead George. I would be Sam because he survives in the wilderness and he (kinda) has a pet Paragon Falcon named Frightful. I think it would be cool to survive in the wild because you can have your own lifestyle and no one would judge you. Also, it would be cool to have a pet bird because it would make a great companion and it would help hunt. All in all, I would like to be Sam because he survives in the wild and has a Paragon Falcon. It would be awesome being Sam, but I'm just happy being me!!! ;)

He can survive in the wilderness and live in the wilderness. He is smart with what food he should eat and what to drink. He also knows when there is a predator.

ReplyDeleteRight now I am reading "Esperanza Rising" by Pan Munoz Ryan. I would like to be Esperanza because she gets to have a special doll for her birthday presents. Her family used to be rich, but once her dad passes away she has to go to California and work, but she gets to tells stories to one of the workers. I would want to have a special doll made by my Dad! I also love telling stories! They excite me so much!

At school,I am reading "My Side of the Mountain" by Jean Craighead George. I would pick Sam Gribley because he survives at a forest with only a penknife,a ball of cord,forty dollars,and some flint and steel. Sam learns about independence and courage.

One of my favorite books is The Hockey Sweater by Roch Carrier. I would like to be the boy narrating the book. He tells the story about his childhood and how they spent most of the day on the ice rink playing hockey. He talks about Maurice Richards being their idol. I would like to be him because he gets plays in Canada.

I am currently raeding" Rain Reign." If I could choose a character I want to be, I would be the dog,Rain. Rain is was a stray dog until he was found by Rose's dad near where he worked. Rose named Rain,Rain because he was found while it was raining. I would want to be Rain because he is sweet,a good listener,and super smart. Rain is always kind to kids and does not hurt people,never ignore people,and knows when the dad is mad so that he does not bother him. I always thought of being a dog and having a nice owner because I always been nice to dogs. I am always a good listener like Rain.

I am reading "Walking To the Bus - Rider Blues" by Harriette Gillem Robinet. If I were a character in this story, I would be ALFA because I would have a job. I would get to beat up John,Herbert and Luke.I would also have a great family and friends to.
